Job Description
Are you an experienced Proposals or Project Engineer with a passion for creating high-quality, competitive bids?
We’re recruiting for a Proposals Engineer to join a market-leading engineering business delivering complex material handling and automation solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative and high-performing team, working on innovative and large-scale engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end proposals process from initial enquiry through to submission
* Interpret client ITTs/RFPs, extract key requirements, and develop tailored bid strategies
* Collaborate with internal departments – including design, engineering, and commercial – to gather input and produce technical and commercial proposals
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
* Present proposals internally for approval and support the handover to project delivery teams
What We’re Looking For:
* HNC or equivalent in engineering, construction, or a related field
* Experience in a proposals, estimating, or technical engineering role
* Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
Desirable:
* Revit or AutoCAD experience
* Background in airport systems, baggage handling, or material handling
