PRU Behaviour Support Job Vacancy PRU TA role in: Wolverhampton Starting date: Immediate start/September 2025 Salary: £95 - 105 per day, dependent on experience Temporary Contract, ongoing position Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)PRU Behaviour Support Specification We are looking for an experienced PRU Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a Behaviour school in the Wolverhampton area, where you will be working with students with SEMH and SEBD needs. This is to start September 2025, however they could look to start someone sooner. To be considered, you should have prior experience as a PRU TA a strong understanding of the SEND school curriculum, and a compassionate, nurturing approach to your work. You must be a qualified behaviour support or Teaching Assistant - ideally level 3 or equivalent Have an excellent knowledge of the UK SEND school system Have experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Ideally have worked for at least 12 months within Special Needs Safeguarding level 1 trained DBS on the update service PRU/SEMH/SEBD experience Dedicated to supporting young SEND learnersThe school is looking for a PRU Behaviour Support The school is a pupil referral unit (PRU) that supports young people with behavioural challenges and mental health needs. As such, a solid background in working within a PRU TA environment is essential, along with the ability to assist multiple students with varying needs. The school serves secondary students, and your role will focus on supporting Key Stage 3 (KS3) learners. Your duties will include offering tailored support in small groups and providing one-on-one assistance to students in the classroom. These students can be challenging, so the school expects someone to have prior experience working with behavioural needs. If you're proactive, engaging, and have a natural ability to connect with young people, this role could be a great fit for you. Working in a SEND school requires professionalism, dedication, and a genuine passion for positively impacting the lives of children with additional needs and diverse learning requirements.
