SEND Teacher (KS3) - PRU | Wirral, Leasowe
Are you an experienced SEND Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs?
We're recruiting on behalf of a dedicated Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leasowe, Wirral, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.
The Role
Join a small, supportive KS3 provision catering for pupils with SEMH needs, ADHD, and challenging behaviours.
All pupils have EHCPs, and for many, this PRU represents their final opportunity for education before permanent exclusion.
Key Details:
Location: Leasowe, Wirral
Key Stage: KS3
Class Size: Up to 6 pupils some with 1:1 support (Site consists of around 16 pupils)
Focus: Non-curriculum-based learning and personal development.Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
Promote inclusion, independence, and personal growth
Manage behaviour effectively using positive support strategies
Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external agenciesRequirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching pupils with challenging behaviour or within a SEND setting
Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
Resilient, patient, and empathetic teaching styleWhat's on Offer
