The Role – PRU Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic PRU Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary PRU in Wandsworth. This role involves working closely with students aged 11–16 who have been referred due to behavioural challenges, SEMH needs, or complex barriers to learning that could not be managed in mainstream schools.
You’ll be providing targeted 1:1 support as well as working with small groups to help students manage their behaviour, re-engage with education, and build self-esteem. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting young people with SEMH, ADHD, trauma-related needs, or other additional challenges.
Your calm, patient, and consistent approach will be essential in fostering positive relationships and helping students achieve their potential within this alternative provision.
