PRU Teaching Assistant – Borough of Greenwich - Secondary PRU - September 2025 Start - £90-£115 Per Day (dependent on experience) -Full-Time - Alternative Provision Setting * PRU Teaching Assistant required in Greenwich * PRU Teaching Assistant required September start * PRU Teaching Assistant required for 1:1 support and small groups * PRU Teaching Assistant must undergo Enhanced DBS check Are you experienced in supporting children who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education? The Role - PRU Teaching Assistant We’re looking for a proactive and empathetic PRU Teaching Assistant to join a supportive PRU in Greenwich. This role involves working closely with students aged 11-19 who have been referred due to behavioural challenges, trauma, or unmet learning needs in mainstream settings. As a PRU Teaching Assistant, you will provide focused 1:1 support and work with small groups to help students manage their behaviour, re-engage with learning, and build confidence. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people with SEMH, ADHD, trauma-related behaviour, and additional educational or medical needs. Your ability to remain calm, consistent, and nurturing will be key in helping students succeed in this alternative provision setting. The School - Pupil Referral Unit in Greenwich This PRU supports a diverse cohort of students aged 11-19, many of whom have experienced significant barriers to learning, including trauma, SEN, and emotional difficulties. The provision offers a structured and therapeutic environment with a flexible, personalised curriculum designed to close learning gaps and promote reintegration or progression to further education. Staff work closely with students to build trust, resilience, and independence, supported by a strong pastoral team and clear career pathways.
