Academics are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in St Albans for a committed and enthusiastic PSHE Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' personal development, wellbeing, and preparation for life beyond school.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging PSHE lessons in line with the school's curriculum
Covering key topics such as relationships and sex education, mental health, financial literacy, online safety, and citizenship
Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Supporting students' personal development and pastoral needs
Working closely with pastoral leaders and wider school staff
Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment initiativesThe Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification
Has experience teaching PSHE or related subjects (such as RE, Citizenship, Health, or Pastoral roles)
Demonstrates strong classroom management skills
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is passionate about student wellbeing and holistic education
Can engage and inspire students across a range of abilitiesWhat the School Offers
