PSV/HGV Engineering Workshop Manager
Basic £56,180
Venatu Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a leading vehicle engineering organisation to recruit an experienced PSV/HGV Engineering Workshop Manager for a permanent position in Berkshire.
Engineering Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy fleet maintenance workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge and proven experience managing engineering teams within a fleet or commercial vehicle environment.
Hours: 4 on 4 off – 08:00 – 16:00
Pay: Basic £56,180
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support a team of technicians and cleaning staff during shifts
Ensure all inspections, servicing, and repairs meet DVSA and internal compliance standards
Provide hands-on technical support, particularly with complex or urgent faults
Drive workshop efficiency, safety, and productivity
Liaise effectively with operations to minimise vehicle downtime
Support training and ongoing development of the engineering team
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV or HGV Maintenance
Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
In-depth knowledge of Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) and relevant compliance standards
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
IT literacy and experience with fleet maintenance systems is desirable
