Prospero Teaching is recruiting Psychology Graduates to work as Behaviour Mentors across secondary schools and alternative provisions throughout the Midlands.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain practical experience with young people before progressing into Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, SEND, mental health or other related careers.
You will support students who may experience barriers to learning, including pupils with SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural needs or other additional needs. Support may involve one-to-one intervention, small-group work and working alongside teaching and pastoral teams within the classroom.
The role will focus on building positive relationships, promoting engagement with education, supporting behaviour and helping young people develop confidence and independence.
Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. We also welcome experience gained through mentoring, tutoring, youth work, volunteering, sports coaching, care, SEND or other work with children and young people.
Applicants should hold a Psychology degree or closely related qualification and demonstrate strong communication skills, resilience and a genuine interest in supporting young people.
You must have the right to work in the UK and hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
