Job Advertisement: Psychology Graduates Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas
Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and resilient Psychology graduates to work with students with special educational needs (SEN) in schools and alternative provisions across Liverpool and the surrounding areas.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for graduates to apply their academic background in a meaningful way, supporting students who have experienced challenges in mainstream education. Many of these young people have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and respond best to individuals who are understanding, patient, and committed to their personal and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with SEN in classroom settings and alternative learning environments.
Build positive, trusting relationships to help students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Assist in the management of challenging behaviour using a calm and consistent approach.
Use psychological insight to understand individual needs and tailor support accordingly.
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments.
Candidate Requirements:
A degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A resilient, reliable, and nurturing disposition.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
Previous experience working with young people or within educational settings is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
