About the Role
You will work closely with pupils in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), supporting both their academic progress and personal development. As a classroom support assistant, you will play a key role in helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment, tailored to meet the needs of individual pupils.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Supporting children on a 1:1 basis or within small group settings to reinforce learning objectives
Assisting the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons
Providing targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs or behavioural challenges
Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere through active engagement
Helping to monitor pupil progress and reporting observations to the teaching team
What We're Looking For:
A graduate in Psychology or a related field
A genuine interest in child development and education
Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential
A proactive, confident, and resilient approach to classroom support
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young learners
A commitment to promoting the wellbeing and academic success of all students
