Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Special School, Birmingham Are you a Psychology graduate looking to make a difference in the lives of children with complex learning needs? A specialist school in Birmingham is offering a rewarding opportunity for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team and provide vital support to pupils with a wide range of educational and developmental needs. *** Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant *** £90 - £100 per day *** September 2025 – July 2026 *** Specialist School – Birmingham *** Supporting pupils with complex learning needs (ages 5–16) The Role As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children who have a variety of complex learning needs, including autism spectrum condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and developmental delays. You’ll be responsible for providing tailored 1-2-1 and small group interventions, supporting students in lessons, and helping to manage behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Your contribution will be essential in promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. The Candidate This role is ideal for a compassionate and resilient Psychology graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, SEN teaching, or child development. You must be adaptable, empathetic, and able to form strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff. Prior experience working with children with SEN, either in a professional or voluntary setting, is highly desirable.
