The Role:
You’ll provide daily 1:1 support, using clear routines, visual prompts and short, structured tasks. You’ll scaffold learning, regulate transitions, encourage communication and record simple progress notes. Working with the class teacher and SENCO, you’ll adapt activities so the pupil can access the curriculum and build independence.
The Candidate:
You bring a psychology (or related) degree, a patient manner and clear communication. You follow support plans, keep boundaries consistent and build trust quickly. You’re organised, reflective and motivated to remove barriers to learning.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in SEN, child development and pupil wellbeing.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
