We are currently looking for dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in schools across the Birmingham area. Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning disabilities.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and support teachers in delivering inclusive and differentiated lessons.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting emotional and social development.
Help with the assessment of students' progress and report on their achievements to teachers and parents.
Offer emotional and behavioural support, helping students build confidence and self-esteem.
Work closely with other staff, including SENCOs, teachers, and external agencies, to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Requirements:
A degree in Psychology (or related field) is essential.
Experience working with children or young adults, especially those with SEN, is desirable but not required.
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the individual needs of students.
A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
