About the Role – Psychology & Sociology Teacher
* Deliver Psychology and Sociology across KS4 and KS5
* Plan and teach engaging, contemporary lessons covering topics such as crime & deviance, social inequality, research methods, mental health, and cognition
* Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams (AQA/Edexcel)
* Use a range of teaching strategies to ensure inclusive practice and outstanding progress
* Take part in enrichment, intervention, and sixth form mentoring programmes
* Play a key role in shaping curriculum development within the Social Sciences
The Ideal Candidate – Psychology & Sociology Teacher
* Holds QTS/QTLS or is an ECT with strong subject knowledge
* Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related Social Science field
* Confident teaching both subjects up to A-Level (or willing to be supported in one)
* Experience teaching in diverse school settings is an advantage
* Strong classroom management and commitment to high standards
* Passionate about making complex topics accessible and relevant to young people
* Keen to promote critical thinking, empathy, and academic excellence
