Position: Psychology Teacher 

Location: Redbridge

Start Date: January 2026 

Salary: Outer London - MPS 

Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to teach across KS4 and KS5 in a high-achieving mixed 11–18 secondary school for a short-term assignment from January until February half-term. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established sixth-form setting known for strong academic outcomes and a supportive humanities and social sciences faculty.

The Role: 

Teaching GCSE and A-level Psychology (AQA)

Working 4 days per week

Delivering high-quality lessons that engage learners and stretch higher-ability students

Following departmental schemes of work with flexibility to bring your own expertise

Contributing to a calm, purposeful learning environment with excellent behaviour systems

Supporting students with exam preparation ahead of the spring term assessments

Person Specification: 

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant FE teaching experience

Experience teaching A-level Psychology (essential)

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, structured lessons

Good behaviour management and the confidence to adapt to a new environment quickly

A positive, professional approach to supply teaching
