Job Description
Our client, a leading company in the rail sector, is currently seeking an experienced PTS Site Engineer to join a rail infrastructure project based near Ipswich. This is a contract role lasting 6-8 months, providing an opportunity to work on the installation of new level crossings as part of a key regional upgrade programme.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the installation of new level crossings per Network Rail standards and project specifications
Provide setting out, surveying, and engineering control across the work site
Ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and within quality requirements
Liaise with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure efficient delivery
Maintain accurate site records, including ITPs, as-builts, and quality documentation
Ensure full compliance with safety procedures and site protocols
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on railway projects (level crossing or trackside experience preferred)
PTS / Sentinel certification (essential)
Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and site processes
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
CSCS and relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent)
