Job Description

Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Pump Engineer required to join a leading manufacturer of industrial pumps. The Successful Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Pump Engineer will provide mechanical repair, service and maintenance on pumps and pump systems at the workshop in Glasgow. The Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Pump Engineer will ideally have a Fitting / Service background in mechanical engineering, such as, pumps, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, rotating equipment, compressors, or similar. Full product training provided. Package £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience Bonus 25 days holiday + bank holidays Company pension Overtime Additional benefits  Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Pump Engineer Role To provide mechanical repair, service and maintenance on pumps and pump systems at the workshop in Glasgow. The Pump Fitter will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics, fault finding of pumps, pumps, and pump related products and systems. Installing pumps into all forms of the manufacturing industry. Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on industrial pump equipment. Liaise with various engineering departments.  Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter / Pump Engineer Requirements Fitting / Service background in mechanical engineering, such as, pumps, filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, valves, rotating equipment, compressors, or similar. Full product training provided. Experience as a Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Pump Engineer / Pump Fitter / Electromechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar. The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers. Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous. A technical mechanical / electrical / electronic / instrumentation qualification, apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous. Willing to travel to commute to the workshop in Glasgow
