Job Description

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Pump & Mechanical Service Engineer on behalf of our client based in Harlow on a Permanent basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

  * Carry out service, maintenance and repair of a variety of industrial pumps and mechanical equipment.

  * Work on pumps, motors, fans and other types of rotating equipment.

  * Carry out bearing and mechanical seal replacements.

  * Replace complete pump and mechanical equipment units where required.

  * Service and maintain pumping stations, including sewage pumping stations.

  * Safely lift pumps and associated equipment for inspection and maintenance.

  * Clear debris from pumping stations and ensure equipment is operating correctly.

  * Check and test float switches and associated control gear.

  * Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.

  * Work directly on customer sites and liaise professionally with customer representatives.

  * Carry out work at height and within confined spaces where required.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  * Previous experience working with industrial pumps and mechanical equipment.

  * Good knowledge of pumps, motors, inverters and electrical systems.

  * Knowledge of electrical panels and controls.

  * Experience carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs.

  * Experience replacing bearings and mechanical seals.

  * Confident working on customer sites and dealing directly with customer representatives.

  * Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.

  * Willingness to work at height and within confined spaces where required. Training can be provided.

  * Full UK driving licence.

  * Reliable, professional and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Working Pattern & Benefits

Hours:

  * Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30

  * Friday, 08:00 – 15:30

  * 30-minute lunch breaks

  * Overtime and call-out opportunities available at premium rates

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Overtime
