Pump Specialist Engineer
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
About Us
As one of London's leading M&E contractors we have several large contracts across multiple prestigious sites in the capital. We’re now looking to expand our expert team with a Pump Specialist Engineer to support our growing portfolio of clients. From reactive repairs to planned maintenance, we pride ourselves on reliability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. You could be working as part of a team or alone to carry out inspection & testing, remedial works, PPM/RM and installation works as required.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pump maintenance, commercial building services, and a good all-round understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems. This is a mobile role with a focus on PPM and reactive maintenance of pumps and related systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing of pumps and related plant
* M&E maintenance
* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on cold-water booster sets, pressurisation units, inverters, and expansion vessels
* Installations of booster sets and pressurisation units
* Maintain accurate records and complete service reports
* Ensure safe working practices in accordance with health and safety standards
Requirements:
* Extensive experience working in commercial environments
* Proven experience in pump maintenance and installation
* Knowledge of cold-water booster sets and pressurisation units (various makes/models)
* Understanding of inverters and parameter settings
* Ability to set expansion vessel pressures accurately for system requirements
* Building services knowledge, ideally with mechanical or HVAC qualifications (not essential)
* Confined Spaces certification (desirable)
* Full UK Driver’s Licence (essential)

* Basic salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)
* 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays

* Paid overtime after 40 hours:
– 1.5x Normal Rate
– 2x for Overnight and Bank Holidays
