Are you passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of young people in an educational setting?
A welcoming and well-respected secondary school in Preston, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Supply Pupil Health and Welfare Officer to join their pastoral and safeguarding team. This full-time, ongoing role is set to begin in September 2025.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide front-line medical support and first aid to students throughout the school day.
Monitor and support pupils with ongoing medical needs, including care plans and medication administration.
Offer emotional support and liaise with safeguarding leads regarding concerns or wellbeing issues.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies as required.
Help promote a safe, inclusive, and caring school environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people in a care, school, or pastoral setting.
A calm, compassionate, and approachable manner.
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong organisational and communication skills.
An understanding of safeguarding procedures and pupil welfare.
