Description Process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders accurately. Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring all records are up to date and organised. Handle supplier queries promptly and professionally. Prepare and process supplier payments in line with company policies. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Assist in the preparation of month-end reports for the Accounting & Finance team. Support the team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.Profile A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have: 6+ months experience in a similar Finance Assistant or Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable position A strong understanding of basic accounting principles. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.Job Offer A salary range upto £26,000 per annum. Fully office-based role in a convenient and commutable York location. Permanent position with opportunities for growth within the Accounting & Finance department.
