Job Description

Our clients are growing fast and are looking for someone who is ready to help take them to the next exciting step in their expansion journey. They are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual to join a Purchasing Team in Carnforth. Fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Account Manager to join this great company. What you’ll be doing: * Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs, running and compiling daily stock reports. * Managing supplier enquiries and quotations, negotiating prices, and recommending the best option * Processing orders and keeping clear communication with suppliers * Scheduling orders to ensure production never misses a beat. * Direct and monitor the timely management of special and direct delivery purchase orders, ensuring all orders are processed and reported back to sales team and customers as required. * Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders. Communicate any changes or updates to PO’s and inventory to the sales team. * Track orders to ensure timely delivery. * Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products are collected or are delivered in good condition and a timely manner. * Assist with tracking and customs clearance procedures for overseas supplier orders. * Follow procedures and policies in analysing situations or data to determine appropriate action. * Booking in deliveries and goods. * Notifying relevant channels of any discrepancies with supplier goods. * Maintenance of the supplier information document. * Reviewing supplier prices on a regular basis. * Assist Operations Manager and Purchasing Supervisor in other duties as required. To be considered for this role they need: * Someone with previous experience within a purchasing role. * Good negotiating skills. * Strong and effective communication including verbal and nonverbal. * Exceptional organisation skills with an attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure, manage workloads and resolve conflicts effectively. * Flexibility to manage and adapt to change. * A team player who thrives in a busy environment. * Problem-solving skills to find solutions and make decisions. * Excellent IT skills particularly in Microsoft Office.
