Job Description

Purchasing Administrator Location: Bristol Sector: Specialist Contractor – Industrial Construction Salary: Circa £40,000 (6 Month FTC) The Opportunity A great opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join a specialist contractor on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting the business through a key period of internal change. This role will play an important part in maintaining procurement processes and supply chain coordination while the wider team undergoes training and transition to new systems. It’s ideal for someone organised, detail-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment. Role Overview You will be responsible for: * Supporting day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities. * Raising purchase orders and maintaining accurate records. * Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. * Supporting the commercial and operational teams with procurement needs. * Monitoring supplier performance and order status. * Assisting with pricing, supplier queries and order tracking. * Maintaining procurement systems and documentation. * Supporting the team during the transition to new IT systems. About You * Experience in a purchasing, procurement or administrative role. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. * Confident using Microsoft Office and internal systems. * Good communication skills with suppliers and internal teams. * Able to manage workload and prioritise effectively. * Proactive and adaptable in a changing environment.
