Job Description

Purchasing Administrator Chase Taylor are working on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company within the window and door industry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join their team. Fenestration experience is REQUIRED for this role. Due to the technical nature of the position, candidates must have previous experience working within the window and door industry in a purchasing or administration role. Previous window designer experience is also required. If you do not have previous experience within the fenestration industry, your application will be rejected due to the specialist nature of the role. The Role Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will support the purchasing function and ensure the correct materials and components are available to meet production requirements. The role will involve purchasing a range of products used in the manufacture of windows and doors, including hardware, profiles and associated fenestration components. You will liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure orders are placed accurately and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities * Purchasing hardware, profiles and other window and door components. * Raising purchase orders, obtaining prices and checking supplier quotations. * Liaising with suppliers and monitoring orders, deliveries and stock requirements. * Working closely with production and internal departments to ensure materials are available when required. * Maintaining accurate purchasing records and resolving any order or delivery discrepancies. * Using knowledge of window and door systems, products and designs to ensure the correct components are purchased. Essential Experience * Previous experience within the window, door or fenestration industry. * Previous experience in a purchasing, buying or purchasing administration role within the sector. * Previous window designer experience is essential. * Knowledge of window and door hardware, profiles and associated components. * Good understanding of fenestration terminology, products and manufacturing requirements. * Strong administration, organisation and communication skills. * Good IT skills and the ability to work accurately with purchasing systems. Important Fenestration experience is essential for this position. Candidates must have relevant previous experience within the window and door industry, together with window design experience.
