£26,000 – £29,000 per annum
Ripon, North Yorkshire HG4
Full time Office Based role working Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Commutable from Wetherby, Harrogate, Knaresborough, York, Tadcaster, Thirsk, Northallerton, Boroughbridge

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing business in Ripon, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team where your ideas and energy will make a real difference.
Reporting to the Head of Buying, you will support the purchasing team by assisting with the sourcing, purchasing and managing the supply of products. You will support the buying team in ensuring that inventory levels meet demand, quality standards are upheld, and supplier partnerships align with our company’s mission to provide high quality, sustainable oils to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing ingredients and packaging materials from local and international suppliers.
Support negotiations with vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality assurance and sustainable practices.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchase orders to maintain consistent product availability.
Track and follow up on shipments, ensuring timely delivery and resolving supply chain issues.
Maintain supplier records, contracts and compliance documentation.
Conduct market research on oil availability, seasonal trends and emerging suppliers.
Uphold the company’s commitment to sustainability, ethical sourcing and product integrity.
Skills & experience required:
Previous administrative experience preferred
Excellent organisational skills
Purchasing experience would be a distinct advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Confidence & a ‘can-do’ attitude with a willingness to learn
Proactive with a problem-solving mindset
