Operational Purchasing Manager 📍 Location: Gloucester 💷 Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits My client, a global leader in aerospace technology, is seeking an experienced Operational Purchasing Manager to join their UK Purchasing team in Gloucester. Your responsibilities will include: Developing, motivating and performance managing the purchasing team. Driving improvements in cost and service levels from indirect suppliers. Project managing complex purchasing initiatives across the UK business units. Developing and implementing commodity strategies aligned with business needs. Leading strategic and operational negotiations, while supporting buyers in key supplier discussions. Partnering with global purchasing teams, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure value-driven outcomes. What you'll bring: To succeed in this role, you'll need: Significant purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation ability. Confidence, credibility, and the ability to work cross-functionally.
