Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Eye - Suffolk
Days of work: Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00
Salary : £55,000 + DOE
Major Recruitment are pleased to be working with one of the county's biggest Bulk herb suppliers.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager.
Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimisation and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards in collaboration with technical approval.
Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements and ensuring that suppliers comply to food safety and health and safety standards.
Work with NPD and Technical departments to source new products and suppliers
Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities and pricing fluctuations
Obtain the best value for money on all types of purchasing
Work with Factory/ Production Manager to plan production/stockKey Attributes
Previous experience in a purchasing management postion
Excellent negotiation skills
Effective communication skills both written and verbally
Research and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
