Job Description
Our Client, a bespoke Engineering Company / manufacturer specialising in components with a primarily European customer base and numerous global supply lines are looking to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager.
The business has grown significantly in recent years and was recently acquired by a multi-national group with a strategy to further expand their existing European Operations.
This is an exciting and a completely new position, and is ideal for a candidate who wishes to progress in their career, and step up from a more junior role.
The successful candidate will have vision and ambition will have the opportunity to build and mould a department making their own “personal stamp.”
The new Purchasing Manager will be key to streamlining our clients purchasing function which is currently spread amongst departmental heads and other members of staff. The challenge is to bring this under one central umbrella of control.
The successful candidate should have a strong, solid background in purchasing and supply chain management and possess a technical mindset in mechanical engineering. Very importantly they must be able to take a proactive approach in reviewing current systems and procedures, making recommendations, and implementing necessary changes.
The successful candidate will have drive and energy, who is up for the challenge, who has great communicative skills and who can apply a ‘common sense’ approach.
