Job Description
A client of ours in the Clacton-on-Sea area are recruiting a Purchasing Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm and paying up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
Ensuring purchase and supply chain techniques and practises are up to date
Considering environmental commitments when getting best value from purchase practises
Control of raw material inventory to ensure stocks are in line with budget
Materials sourcing and negotiation
Procurement of raw materials
Sourcing and procurement of finished goods
Maintaining accurate department records in accordance with ISO 9002 procedures
Keeping and updating accurate purchase records and statisticsSkills and Experience required to be considered for this Purchasing Manager position:
Manufacturing industry experience
Import experience is essential
Previous purchasing and procurement experience essential
People management experience
Excellent customer focus
Willingness to travel
Knowledge of steel sourcing
