Job Title: Purchasing Team Leader
Location: Aylesbury
Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time, Office based
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm (1 hour lunch break)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
As the Purchasing Team Leader, you will:
Lead and support a team of 2 Purchasing Assistants
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
Analyse market trends to select and purchase products
Order daily to ensure optimal stock levels
Create and manage purchase orders and related paperwork
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams
Communicate with management regarding stock shortfalls
Continuously improve purchasing procedures for efficiencyEssential Skills:
Relevant purchasing experience is preferred
Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel and Microsoft Word
Strong analytical approach to tasks
Exceptional communication skills
Outstanding organisational capabilities
Ability to thrive under deadlines and responsibilitiesBenefits & Perks:
