Pyro Assembly Operative – Oxford
Salary: £26,775
We’re looking for a skilled Pyro Assembly Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team in Oxford. This is a hands-on role within the Pyro Manufacturing Department, supporting the production of critical safety components.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle explosive materials, goods, and components safely and responsibly.
Accurately read and interpret assembly drawings and production documents, ensuring all Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices, and Batches are correctly identified and recorded.
Assemble components to required tolerances with precision.
Use appropriate weighing equipment and tools for specific batches.
Conduct self-inspection and quality checks of your own work.
Maintain accurate records in SAP to track work in progress.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in production or manufacturing environments.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
Awareness of health & safety policies and procedures.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Team player who can also work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
