A well-established food manufacturer is on the lookout for a hands-on, detail-focused QA Supervisor to join their Technical team.
If you take pride in high standards, have a solid grasp of food safety, and enjoy leading from the front, this is an ideal role for you!
In this key role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving food safety, quality, hygiene, and compliance standards across site. You'll lead the QA team on shift, manage internal audits, investigate non-conformances, and support production to ensure the highest standards are consistently met.
This is a busy environment and a varied role - perfect for someone who thrives on the shop floor, enjoys problem-solving, and is confident guiding others.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support and develop the QA team - including training, rota management and performance reviews
Oversee GMP checks, internal audits and food safety inspections
Monitor and drive product quality through robust checks, reporting and follow-up
Maintain and update food safety records, SOPs and training documentation
Work closely with Production, Hygiene and Technical to ensure standards are upheld site-wide
Investigate and resolve non-conformances, with a focus on root cause and preventative actions
Analyse quality data and trends to stay ahead of potential issues
Help embed a proactive quality culture across the site
What you'll need!
Previous experience in a QA or Technical role within food manufacturing
At least 1 year in a supervisory or team-leading position
Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP (minimum)
Confident communicator with the ability to coach and lead from the front
Strong working knowledge of GMP, food safety legislation, and audit requirements
Competent with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and data input
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills and time management
