Overview:
My client is seeking a motivated and capable individual to join their team as a Trainee QA/QC Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in welding and fabrication who is looking to transition into a quality assurance role.
They have a proven track record of developing individuals from outside the industry into key members of the team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on fabrication experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, with excellent long-term prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Play a key role in ensuring welding and fabrication activities across various projects are done to the highest possible standards
*
Assist with inspection and quality checks during mechanical and welding stages
*
Work safely at height and in confined spaces
*
Participate in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) processes
*
Travel to project sites across the UK and internationally
Essential Criteria:
*
Background in welding and fabrication
*
Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
*
Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
*
Basic understanding of NDE techniques
*
Familiarity with inspection processes for welding and mechanical work
*
Willingness to travel for up to 20 weeks per year
*
GCSEs in Maths and English
*
Computer literate
*
Experience with drawing or CAD software is an advantage
*
Eager to learn and grow within the role
*
Understanding of welding procedures and standards
