Key Responsibilities Set the strategic direction for an integrated QSHE function, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on quality, environmental performance, health & safety, and security risks. Drive cultural development and embed industry-leading QSHE standards across all teams. Establish, maintain, and continuously enhance policies, management systems, and operational frameworks. Lead quality management activities across the organisation, ensuring consistency and high standards. Maintain certification and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and support alignment to ISO 45001. Act as the primary representative for external auditors, regulators, and customer quality stakeholders. Oversee quality requirements for regulated sectors including aerospace, defence, and space. Fulfil duties as the statutory Responsible Person for health and safety compliance. Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and corrective action completion. Strengthen and evolve health and safety management systems and promote a proactive safety culture. Shape environmental strategy and support delivery of sustainability goals. Ensure compliance with all environmental laws and licence conditions. Conduct environmental assessments and put effective mitigation measures in place. Lead physical, personnel, information, and operational security initiatives. Oversee the operation of CCTV, access control, alarms, and other security infrastructure. Act as key point of contact with external authorities during security or emergency incidents. Deliver QSHE-related training including first aid, fire safety, and security awareness. Manage business continuity planning, crisis preparedness, and emergency response procedures. Ensure alignment with applicable regulations and industry standards. Report regularly to the Executive Team and Board on QSHE performance and risk. Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation meets regulatory expectations. Skills & Requirements Extensive leadership experience in QSHE within engineering, manufacturing, or technology environments. Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, with awareness of AS9100 requirements. Deep knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation. Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive organisational change. Chartered or professional membership (IOSH, IEMA, CQI) with NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification. Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholder groups. Solid understanding of information security, cyber risk principles, and GDPR. Why Join?
