English Teacher - Temporary Sickness Cover
Location: TF11
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Role: Secondary English Teacher
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced English Teacher to provide full-time temporary sickness cover at a well-established Secondary School in the TF11 area.

We are looking for a confident, reliable and enthusiastic English Teacher who has strong experience teaching across the Secondary age range and, in particular, has the ability to confidently deliver KS4 English.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who can quickly settle into a school environment, maintain high standards and provide engaging, high-quality teaching throughout the period of cover.

The Role
As the successful English Teacher, you will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering engaging and challenging English lessons.
Teaching confidently across the Secondary age range, including KS4.
Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, achievement and progress.
Demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
Building positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff.
Creating a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Following school policies and procedures.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity for pupils.

The successful candidate will:

Be a qualified English Teacher with relevant teaching experience.
Have proven experience teaching KS4 English.
Be confident, enthusiastic and passionate about education.
Have excellent classroom management skills.
Be reliable, professional and able to commit to the full-time position.
Have high standards and expectations of themselves and their pupils.
Be able to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
Have a positive and adaptable approach to working within a new school environment.
Be committed to supporting pupils' progress, achievement and development.
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
