Job Description
English Teacher - Long-Term Role in Rossendale (Temp to Perm)
We are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced English teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Rossendale after the October half term. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Start Date: ASAP - Week commencing Monday 3rd November 2025
Location: Rossendale, Lancashire
Contract Type: Long-term (Temp to Perm)
About the Role:
Teaching English across KS3 and KS4
Full-time position in a mainstream secondary school
Working within a supportive department with strong leadership
Managing challenging behaviour effectively and positivelyCandidate Requirements:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
Experience teaching English at secondary level
Proven ability to manage behaviour confidently and constructively
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate English teacher who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident working with pupils who may present challenging behaviour.
