Job Description
Within the 15 hours, the young person would also require provision of self-led learning activities in subjects of their interest, such as; woodwork, fishing and culture. This would be taught alongside Maths and English at appropriate levels.
The ideal tutor will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience working with young people with SEMH, ADHD and/or behavioural needs
Be patient, adaptable, and trauma-informed
Use creative and flexible approaches to spark interest and re-engage learning
Be able to manage sessions independently within a public library setting
🔸 Key Details:
Sessions to take place at Cobham Library (KT11 2AE)
Face-to-face only (no remote option)
15 hours per week, ideally over 5 days
Starting September 2025
Ongoing arrangement, potentially long-term
