Job Description
Smile Education are proud to be supporting an alternative provision in Walsall in their search for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher. This role will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 11 student, delivering GCSE Maths, English, and Science.
The Role
Delivering high-quality lessons in Maths, English and Science to one Year 11 student.
Supporting the student in preparing for their GCSEs.
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement in learning.
Working independently and tailoring lessons to meet the student’s needs.
Helping the student to successfully reintegrate into a mainstream setting where possible.Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
ECTs and other qualifications will not be considered.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Confident in teaching across Maths, English and Science at GCSE level.
Ability to work independently on a 1:1 basis.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Smile Education).
A minimum of two references from the last two years, commenting specifically on your teaching and interaction with students.About the School This alternative provision in Walsall is committed to helping students re-engage with education and reach their full potential.
