Qualified Accountant – Hybrid | Edinburgh | £60,000–£65,000 + bonus & benefits
Are you a qualified accountant ready to take ownership of your own office and build something of your own — with the support of a well-established firm behind you?
We’re working with a forward-thinking accounting and advisory practice in Edinburgh that’s looking for an ambitious qualified accountant to join as their lead accountant. This is a rare opportunity to shape and grow a new team, with a clear path toward team leadership and future partnership.
The Opportunity
You’ll be the firm’s go-to accountant in Edinburgh, supported by senior leadership across the wider group. You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients — from entrepreneurial SMEs to high-net-worth individuals — delivering high-quality accounting and strategic advice.
As the client base grows, you’ll recruit and develop your own team, taking on greater leadership and business development responsibilities. For the right person, this role has genuine partner potential.
What You’ll Be Doing

Prepare and review full statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio.

Act as the main client contact, providing clear commercial and financial insight.

Work closely with leadership to expand the firm’s Edinburgh presence.

Identify opportunities for advisory and value-added services.
*
Build and mentor a small team as the office grows.
About You
*
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
*
Experienced in accounts preparation and client relationship management.
*
Entrepreneurial and proactive — excited by growth, leadership, and autonomy.

Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset.
*
Interested in long-term progression, including partnership opportunity.
