Based at the scenic Winslade Park in Exeter, also with an office in Honiton, we offer a supportive and flexible working environment, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and client service.
The Role
We are currently looking for a Qualified Financial Accountant to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong technical skills and a proactive, client-focused approach. The role will involve working closely with business owners and supporting our small, friendly team in delivering high-quality financial services.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and filing of SME year-end accounts
* Company formations and set-ups
* Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparation of management accounts
* Completion and filing of Self Assessments, VAT returns, and CIS submissions
* Liaising directly with clients, providing high-quality support and advice
* Assisting colleagues and contributing to the wider success of the team
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 2 years post-qualification experience
* Proven experience in a practice environment, working with SMEs
* Strong working knowledge of UK tax and accounting regulations
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
* Proficiency with accounting software packages, ideally Xero
