Job Description
Qualified High School Cover Teacher - Leeds - June Start
Veritas Education are looking for a qualified secondary teacher to join our team as a cover teacher in Leeds from June. This is a flexible role, ideal for those seeking part-time or adaptable working hours within local secondary schools.
As a cover teacher, you will step into classrooms where lessons are pre-prepared, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You'll be expected to manage the classroom effectively, support student learning, and adapt quickly to different school environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver set lessons across a range of subjects
Maintain classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged
Follow school policies and provide feedback to teaching staff where required
Build positive relationships with students and staff
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working in secondary schools (including teaching or cover supervision)
Good classroom management and communication skills
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Reliable, professional, and flexible in your approach
