The Role
You’ll teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4. The school provides excellent resources and promotes a love of learning through engaging texts and thoughtful analysis.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons
Help students develop literacy, writing, and analytical skills
Prepare pupils for GCSE exams in Language and Literature
Promote creativity, debate, and thoughtful expression
Track and support student progress effectively
Essential Requirements:
QTS and a degree in English or Literature
Ability to teach mixed-ability groups
Strong command of English grammar and literary analysis
Organised, confident, and engaging classroom presence
Desirable:
Familiarity with AQA/Edexcel exam specifications
Experience leading reading or writing clubs
Skills in drama or creative writing
Interest in curriculum innovation and enrichment
