GSL Education Manchester is proud to be working with a high-achieving secondary school in Oldham to recruit a Qualified English Teacher for a full-time position starting September 2025. About the Role:
You’ll be teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that foster a love for reading, writing, and discussion. The role involves planning and assessing coursework, supporting students of varying abilities, and contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
Plan creative and challenging lessons aligned with the curriculum
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Support literacy initiatives and enrichment programmes
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A proactive and reflective teaching approach
