Qualified Nursery Practitioner - Maternity Cover
Location: Forest Hill SE23
Hours: 8 hours shift Monday to Thursday (Fridays closed)
Salary: £12.50 to £15.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary, Full-time (November 2025 to July 2026)
We are looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join an outstanding Nursery organisation located in Forest Hill South London.
This is a maternity cover position in our preschool room starting in November 2025 and ending in July 2026.
Our client is happy to schedule tthe candidate in for 1 or 2 days/week to settle into the routine / settings.of the nursery.
The Role:
Day-to-day tasks include working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to promote the well-being of the children, implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and assisting with creative displays within the Nursery.
What we’re looking for
* Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
* Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
* Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
* Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
* Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
* Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
