Job Description

Quality Advisor Location: North Lanarkshire Reference: J45735 Contract Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading global provider of engineering infrastructure solutions. They are currently seeking a Quality Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis, supporting the delivery of highways projects across North Lanarkshire. A commitment to best practice and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. As the Quality Advisor, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality across products and services, while supporting the HSEQ Manager in the effective delivery of highways infrastructure projects. Ideally, you will take a lead role in quality assurance processes, acting as a mentor within the team and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. You will ensure that company policies are effectively implemented, monitored, and audited, while also confirming that resources and equipment are appropriate for operational needs. You will be expected to ensure all work meets client expectations and to maintain clear, consistent communication with both clients and colleagues. Additionally, you will manage the preparation and delivery of internal and external reports in line with business and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business needs Design and execute robust testing processes, ensuring full coverage of functional, regression, performance, and security testing Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and maintain quality standards in line with business objectives Monitor and report on quality metrics, including both internal and contractual KPIs, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement Identify and mitigate risks associated with service delivery to ensure quality and performance expectations are achieved Manage relationships with external partners and suppliers involved in quality assurance Conduct internal audits, as well as audits involving contractors and suppliers Stay informed of current industry trends and best practice in quality assurance and testing methodologies Required Skills and Qualifications Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) Demonstrable experience in a quality assurance role Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and a variety of testing methodologies Proven experience of implementing QA processes and frameworks in line with ISO standards Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and lead others Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving Full UK driving licence Self-motivated with the ability to understand and contribute to the wider organisational strategy A team player with a consistently professional and positive attitude A passion for upholding the organisation’s values and a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion If this opportunity aligns with your career ambitions and you meet the criteria detailed above, we would be pleased to receive your application.
