Job Description
Do you have experience working as a Quality Engineer within the Aerospace sector? Are you knowledgeable in AS9100, ARP4754, ED-80 (DO-254), or ED-12C (DO-178C)? I want to talk to you!
I am looking for a Quality Engineer to join a world-leading Aerospace organisation based in Fareham. You will play a key role in providing quality and process assurance within design and development projects, ensuring compliance with business, customer, and regulatory standards.

Job Description
• Develop and manage external QA interfaces on assigned projects.
• Review and approve design and development documentation to ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
• Develop Quality Plans to meet stakeholder, contractual, and regulatory needs, ensuring approved project plans are available.
• Audit project lifecycles to ensure compliance with approved plans and BMS processes in accordance with ARP4754, ED-80, and ED-12C standards.
• Ensure customer requirements, design review criteria, and transition criteria are satisfied across Systems, Software, Hardware, and Mechanical Design and Development activities.
• Ensure that design lifecycle data and conformity assessments meet approved plans.
• Detect, manage, and agree deviations to the design process, driving corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage QA matters throughout the development contract lifecycle.
• Oversee design and development subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved quality plans.
• Support and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, internally and externally.
• Act as a focal point for quality information and direction within the project team.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Awareness and willingness to develop expertise in project development lifecycles, including knowledge of AS9100, ARP4754A, DO-178B/C, and DO-254.
• Awareness of aerospace regulations (Military and Civil).
