Quality Assurance Inspector Location: Northampton, NN6 7SL Starting Salary: £14 – £16 per hour. Paid weekly, 1 week in arrears Contract: Full time, Permanent Hours: We operate two shifts over 5 days. As a QA Inspector your hours would be: 07.45am – 16.05pm Monday to Thursday and 08.00am – 14.00pm on a Friday. Benefits: 21 Days holiday (+ bank holidays), Pension scheme and Free Parking! QA Inspector – About the role: We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting and operating CNC machines – or inspecting the output of one - and will possess the knowledge and skills to verify the quality of components. We are willing to consider applications from less experienced QA staff who wish to progress! This QA position will encompass a breadth of different roles, and thus we're looking for someone who is familiar with an SME precision engineering environment and comfortable with the handling of metal components. As our QA Inspector, you will: * Perform patrol, in-process and final inspections of precision turned and milled components, using various inspection tools and equipment, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)s and micrometers Read and interpret technical engineering drawings * Maintain records and follow procedures as per the Company’s ISO9001 quality system * Review technical drawings ensuring that components conform to the required specifications and dimensions * Identify and document any non-conformances and work with the production team to resolve any issues * Investigate customers NCRs In order to be successful in this role you should have (training will provided for the right candidate): * Preferably at least 1 year of experience in inspection of precision machined components (ideally for F1, medical, and energy sector industries) * Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, shadowgraphs, optical measurement machines) * Experience of working within an ISO9001 QMS environment * Thorough understanding of engineering drawings * Experience in root cause analysis and resolution Come and meet us!
