We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Assistant to join the Technical Department, in a growing food manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring food safety, product quality, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the client site.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and isn’t afraid to speak up when something needs correcting.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure GMP and company policies are followed on site
* Monitor production areas and support production teams
* Complete and verify due diligence paperwork
* Report and investigate non-conformances, helping prevent reoccurrence
* Conduct internal GMP audits and ensure corrective actions are closed out
* Verify equipment (scales, probes, metal detectors)
* Carry out hygiene swabs and trend analysis
* Complete goods intake & finished product checks
* Perform traceability, mass balance & recall exercises
* Support technical documentation, label approvals & specifications
* Assist with complaint investigations and sampling for micro/chemical testing
* Monitor PPE and cleaning material stock
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required
* Knowledge of GMP and HACCP principles
* 2 years' experience in the Food Manufacturing sector is essential
* Proficiency in Excel & Word (Mac experience a bonus)
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* A hands-on, proactive, and responsible approach
* Right to work in the UK

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)
