Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Technician
📍 Location: Mundford, Norfolk
💷 Salary: Up to £31,000 (depending on experience)
🕒 Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
🔄 Shifts: Alternating weekly shifts - Early (6am-2pm) / Late (2pm-10pm)
Major Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established company in the pet food manufacturing industry. We're currently looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team in Mundford. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering competitive pay, long-term prospects, and an immediate start for the right candidate.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily site compliance checks to maintain high standards.
Inspect products at all production stages to ensure they meet specifications.
Assess incoming raw materials for consistency and quality.
Monitor product shelf-life and accurately record results.
Complete and review production paperwork.
Maintain testing records and retention samples.
Calibrate probes and support with equipment audits.
Conduct glass audits and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) checks.
Support additional QA functions as needed.
✅ What We're Looking For:
Prior experience in a QA role (ideally in a BRC-accredited food manufacturing environment).
Food manufacturing background is highly desirable.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential).
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
Confident using basic IT systems and writing in English.
Able to use initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn.
