Quality Auditor

Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Auditor to join our Technical Department in Newcastle. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing our quality assurance activities to meet BRCGS, retailer food safety, quality, legality, and customer-specific standards. The Quality Auditor will be a vital player in both internal and external audits, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
Play a key role in promoting all parameters of the Food Safety & Quality Management System, ensuring customer requirements are met.
Support the production team in managing incidents, including foreign body, non-conformance, and supplier complaints, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution.
Conduct scheduled internal audits such as metal detection, GMP, red pen, glass, traceability, and paperwork compliance.
Perform equipment hygiene verification checks and support production and line equipment assessments.
Conduct various quality assessments including organoleptic quality, weight, bulk density, moisture, and more.
Accurately log data, manage the storage and destruction of samples, and maintain comprehensive records.
Support the NPD Manager during new product launches and line trials.
Assist in managing visual product quality standards and conduct scheduled site inspection audits.
Provide mentoring and coaching to team members on quality and food safety practices.
Maintain communication of quality issues to production and engineering staff effectively.Required Skills & Qualifications:
HACCP and food hygiene qualifications.
Trained and experienced as an internal auditor.
Previous experience in a manufacturing/food manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in computer applications including Excel, Word, and stock control systems.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Ability to cope in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
